Ok i just wanted to ask when should i expect to ovulate after the clomid. I am starting it today for the next 5 days. I generally ovulate after CD25 on my own and i was just wondering because i am using preseed this month and i don’t want to waste it. I would rather start using the preseed when i know im going to O. Do you get O pains on clomid? I normally get really bad O pains so i know when i O. I cant use opks because i always get a line... probably due to my suspected pcos (its not severe and only on the left..??).

Thanx

I'm not sure, hon. Are they going to do an u/s for you? Sometimes you can estimate your O based on the size of the follies at that time. If you always get O pains, though, you should still get them but Clomid causes me to cramp (mildly) all cycle long. I'm sorry I'm not much help on this one.

Good Luck!!

I take clomid on CD 3-7 and the earliest I have ever O'ed is CD18, which would be 11 days after my last pill. I have found that OPK's don't work for me as I have never gotten a positive (I have PCOS) so I started charting my BBT and am able to track that way. I also get really bad O pains with the clomid which I had never gotten before (probably because I wasn't O'ing LOL). Unfortunately for me though, they tend to come a few days before I actually O so I can't use those as a confirmation for when I O'ed. Good luck to you with taking the clomid!!

I did my first round of Clomid last cycle. I charted my temp and did OPK as well. What I didn't know is that Clomid can show a false positive on OPKs.
FF showed that I Od around CD 16, which is two days later than usual for me.
I did get O pains. And charting my temp and checking cervical position helped me a little.
