For those of you who have been perscribed some form of Progesterone to help extend luteal phase...how was it prescribed?
Because I think I O'd around CD23 (the only time I've O'd) last cycle, my doctor suggested I start taking it around CD20. She didn't know if it would have an effect on ovulation?? She doesn't really believe in charting, so she didn't say to wait until I have a temperature increase or other signs. What has your doctor told you about when to start?
I was just put on it this month. My DR told me to do OPK and make sure I Oed before I start other wise I would not O. He said to start 3 days after I Oed. So I went by my OPK. I started 3 days after my + so it more like 2 days after I Oed. But I also chart so I knew I had Oed when I did.

I think I would feel more comfortable doing that, too. I trust my chart. I think I am going to wait until after I know for myself that I O'd. I had not planned to use OPKs this month...not sure if this changes my mind.
Well, my dr. assumes I will ovulate around CD 14 so I was instructed to start my progesterone on cd 17 after I have my progesterone checked. I go to the lab in the morning and start the progesterone that night.
