Yes, we did IVF with PGD. After 3 fresh cycles and 2 FETs all ending in BFN, we decided to do PGD with our last fresh cycle. My RE couldn't understand why I wasn't getting pregnant because my embryos were usually graded pretty high, my cycles were "perfect" and everything always looked great. He suggested we use our final fresh cycle (we were in a shared risk package) with PGD to determine if we had poor embryo qualilty (if so we'd move to adoption) or poor uterine environment (if so we'd move to surrogate). We ended up with 17 embryos from that cycle and only 3 were genetically normal. The other 14 had severe chromosomal abnormalities. We put 2 in the freezer for a surrogate and then transfered the other embryo. I ended up pregnant that cycle and we now have a beautiful son and two little boys waiting for us in the freezer. I wish we had done PGD right out of the gate. It could have saved us a ton of money in IVF cycles not to mention the emotional wear & tear we went through with repeated failed cycles. Good luck to you!

I also did PGD/IVF and I did not get PG. My dr. explained to me that PGD only test for a few abnormalities where CGH tests for all. So my next and last cycle will be with CGH. Speak to your dr. and see if he does CGH you probably will have better results, at least there will be no questions. Good luck in whatever you choose.

Hi... I'm just popping by as I used to be a member here... I did IVF with PGD with great results. I'd had 4 miscarriages and couldn't understand why... all babies had heartbeats and lived until 7-9 weeks, then the heartbeats stopped. A karyotype on #3 showed genetic abnormalities, so the doctor recommended PGD.

About 50% of the embryos that made it to the testing stage were normal, the others were not (multiple abnormalities across the board, no chance for survival). We transferred all surviving normal embryos (three), and ALL of them took! Not only that, but one of them split into twins... long story, the identical twins did not survive, but not due to chromosomal abnormality. Overall I can't believe what a success we had with PGD. So now I am expecting twin girls in about two weeks - we finally were able to break the curse of recurrent miscarriages, thanks totally to PGD.

Good luck, I hope your IVF cycle goes well!

ETA - we also did ICSI.
