Hi ladies! I know a few of you from the TTC #1 board, but I'll introduce myself...

I'm Jackie (26) and DH is Jon (28) and we've been TTC since December. After a long annovulatory cycle in Dec/Jan, and then had 3 'normal' cycles before I ended up here... with another long annovulatory cycle!! My doctor has decided to start me on Clomid (days 3-7) once the Provera brings back AF.

My question is: What time of day do you take your Clomid? There seem to be a bunch of side effects that *might* take place, and I work full-time so I want to try to minimize the effects as much as I can...although I know it's not entirely possible.

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!

Hi. I have taken Clomid 3 times now. I have had no side effects at all. So I consider myself lucky. I took my pills in the morning for the first and third time, and in the afternoon the second time. But I've heard people that have side effects from it, take it in the evening. Good luck!

I took my Clomid at 6pm each night so I would either sleep through the side effects or I may lose sleep, but it is better than being miserable all day at work. My main side effects on the lower doses was hot flashes/night sweats. I had insomnia at 150mg, so they were going to have me start taking it at a different time, but I only had one or two doses left. Only my 200mg dose had side effects that carried over into the workday...and that was because everyone I worked with seemed to be getting more and more irritating....I swear it wasn't becuase of the Clomid giving me mood swings! LOL!
Good Luck!

I take it at 10pm just before bed. The most SE I have had have been sweating, insomnia, and vicious mood swings. THOSE carry over ALL DAY 24X7 from the second day of clomid through ovulation. My RE said just before bed gave you the best chances of sleeping through the SE!

Good Luck!!!

I haven't taken clomid for 7 years but if I remember correctly I took it right before bed each night.

This is my second time TTC with clomid.
I had severe mood swings the first time,I took it at night.

Now this time around I am taking it during the day with no SE at all.
