DF just got 2nd SA results. Both low total count, one was 10,000,000 the other was 7,900,000. And both show low maturity and low concentration. Does anyone know much about sperm maturity? Can anything be done? He has an appt. with a RE at a fertility clinic. This particular RE is the only one who in the practice who treats men.

Has anyone heard of an RE who treats men. I wonder it there is any hope of us conceiving. I am 42, DF is 43 so we dont' have a lot of time.

Thanks,

Lisa

I'm don't know anything about male infertility. I just wanted to wish you luck on your TTC journey!

Would IVF with ICSI help?

DF went over the 2 SA results yesterday. Previously only my gyno was telling us it was low etc. The RE said the count one time was low and the other was 35,000,000 which is fine. It said the morphology is a little low but shouldn't be a problem. He is more worried about me being 42. He said if I was 30 it should be no problem and will happen in time.

But since I'm 42 he wants to HSG & IUI. We can't afford IVF so if the IUI doesn't work, we are out. I can't believe my gyno was so concerned about low count, low maturity and the RE said it's nothing to worry about.
