If so, how do you get one? I'm not sure how it works.

I need to cover my RE appointments & etc.

Thanks

I don't know anything about that.. but I just wanted to mention...

My insurance denied infertility treatmeant, so I switched to my RE as being my OB/GYN and got most of it covered. You could call and talk to who ever is in charge of billing at the RE's office and see if that would be an option for you.

Hello Bobbie. Thank you for answering!
You mean ask the RE if they could be OB/gyn and code under as ob/gyn?

Yep.... actually it was the lady in charge of billing here that offered it. It might be worth looking into. I guess it depends on the RE.

I am really lucky with my RE's office though. They were great knowing I was denied Infertility treatment. They even donated some of my injectable meds.

Good luck

Sorry I don't know anything about that. I have been lucky that all but my 20% or co-pay has been covered. Hope you can get some answers and get some coverage.

Actually 20% is starting to get pricey too. Just couldn't even think of having to pay everything. But I also know my RE is an OB at the office I go to so I am thinking it might be billed like that too. I hope there is something out there that can help reduce the cost. Good Luck!!

my advice, DON'T go with one of those discount cards. I tried DirectMed and they PROMISED that all my fertility treatments/bloodwork/ultrasounds/meds would be covered and at the very least I'd get 30% off . . . well they LIED!!!!! What they DON'T tell you is that it's up to the individual dr to decide the discount, if they will even give you any discount at all. AND it depends on how stuff is coded. It shouldn't matter for the discount cards, but it does. Took them 6 months of denying my claims to finally giving me $50 off of only two of my appts.

Even my OB promised he'd help out . . . yeah, 4% off really helps.
