HI everyone. Quick question. I had my 2nd IUI and did the trigger shot. They told me not to take a test until Aug. 3rd, but I'm dying to. Do you think it would be bad if I take it earlier? I did the shot on July 17th. I feel a little sick and I'm tired. I want to know. Ha!

Hey Hun! I thought I would give my 2 cents worth! For myself, my DR stated that I should take a HPT everyday after the trigger shot, that way I can see when the trigger shot was acutally out of my system. It normally goes away within 10-12 days after the trigger shot.. how many units of HCG were you given? I think the norm for us was 10,000. But all DR are different! I would say that I would start testing.. I know it is pricey but I would def want to know as soon as I could especially since it was an IUI. Before with the DR i did IUI with before he told me not to test and i didnt.. I wish I would have acutally. It just gives you a time frame to work with.. then if the HPT is BFP again after fading you know you are preggers!!! We are doing TRIGGER SHOT THIS CYCLE and that is def what i am going to do!!! GOOD LUCK with the BFP!!! I cant wait to see how it turns out!!

I agree I would test and see if it gets darker or lighter. If shot was on July 17 might already be out of your system. Good Luck!!

My trigger was pretty much gone 8 days after I triggered. The next day it started getting darker again. If you don't mind the *unknown* I say TEST! It is hard to know at first whether the line you see if left over bad HCG or pretty new fresh HCG from your bean. I am in the test crowd. It is fun to see what they tests will say while you are in the 2ww.

Good luck... and lots of

I don't know! It would be hard for me to start testing now, so late after the trigger. Like Bobbie said, it's the unknown that's scary. If it were me, I would either start testing 5 days after the trigger and keep testing to watch the trigger leave OR wait until at least 13 DPO. Good luck, and KUP.
