So we went to the dr and all. They took my blood and did an U/S. Now my left overy was the one with issues before and wasn't ovulating, where as my right was appearing jut fine. On the medication so far, I hav only developed two eggs in my left overy. The largest eg was 16mm, and she was looking for it to be about 18. So she is having me come back on Monday for another u/s to see if it keps gowing.

Its still strange how my right eggs didn't develope at all.

So Im not sure if that is normal or bad at this point. ANyone know?

You usually only ovulate from one ovary per cycle but I'm not sure if that means you only produce eggs on one side. I wouldn't be too worried about the size... follies can grow REAL BIG in just a matter of days so you still have plenty of time to reach your DR's goal!

See when the dr ecplained things the first time, she made it sould like both sides would produce eggs.

Either way she wanted it to be at 18mm today, but no luck.

What meds are you on? If you're taking clomid or something like that then yes, that should help your body produce mature follies on both sides. And when I went in for some of my u/s my follies weren't quite big enough and when I went back in just two days later they were MUCH bigger. They can grow 2-3mm per DAY! So, don't give up hope. There is plenty of time for those follies to catch up and I'm sure when you go back in everything will be ready for ya!

I'm not sure how many eggs are "typical" for a person using Gonal F. I do believe that they generally produce more follies than women who are using Clomid (on Clomid-I usually produce 1-2 but hoping for more on the higher dose). I would ask your doc what is normal and what she would like to see just to set your mind at ease. Everyone reacts so differently to all the various medications. If your doctor isn't happy with the progress-she might switch you to another injectable. However, she may be happy with the two you have which is good too!

to what Kari said. Follies can grow super fast. I went in for a folliscan on cd 10 and they saw a few little ones. I was pretty disappointed that they weren't bigger. But-I went back three days later and the one that was a 14 on day 10 was an 18. Good luck!!!!
