all, well not her but her assistant and say, well "we can try it again and you have two weeks to think about it." I immediately said "think about iui with injects vs what?" You could hear a cricket through the phone. I then went on to say that I would like both RE's to consult about our fertility work up and then get back to me with what they believe would be best for optimal success. The reason I am adamant about them working as a team is because when we went in for our IUI, we seen a different doctor and he clearly stated that he would not perform an iui with morphology below 5%(My dh's was 2.5%). As some of you could imagine we felt hoodwinked.

Also, I love my job and I do not want to take 3 or 4 more months leaving for all kinds of appointments that are not OB (hehehehe). And my husbands esteem collapses with every failed attempt.

So, the question is do I want to chance another month on an iui/inject cycle when I know the chance for success is low?

Boy that's a tough one. I guess I'm not terrible familiar with male factor infertility, so I don't know what your chances of success are with injectibles. It seems like that wouldn't help the MFI problem, so IVF might be a better bet.

You might want to post this over in the TTC w/ MFI section; those ladies might have a lot of helpful info that I don't!

IVF has very good success rates when the cause of infertility is MFI - good luck whatever you decide.

Thanks...I will post a duplicate this post in that section but I think your right on. The woman always get the brunt of it but my dh said he would do the injects if he could(I don't think he could handle it)...
