This is completely off topic but what the heck...

We're having friends over for dinner this weekend and wanted to hear some of your favorite dessert recipes? I love to cook mains, appetizers, soups-but I'm hopeless with desserts!

Thanks!

Very VERY easy and YUMMY!!!

Bake a french vanilla box mix cake in a 9 x 13 pan.

When it's done....poke a bunch of holes in it with a toothpick.

Pour over the cake one can of sweetened condensed milk and some carmel sundae topping.

"Frost" with french vanilla Cool-Whip. YUM!

You can do this with chocolate cake too......pour over sweetened condensed milk and hot fudge sundae topping and "frost" with chocolate cool whip!

I have had the chocolate version, and it is terrific.

Sorry, I am not much help on this topic...desserts aren't my thing either.

I know strawberries are not in season but this one is really easy and always a crowd pleaser....

Cut up strawberries and coat lightly in sugar.

Break apart angel food cake into a bowl.

Mix together cake pieces, strawberries and cool whip until blended all together.

Really yummy, easy version of a strawberry short cake!

Here's one of my favorites! It looks pretty, too!

Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle
Ingredients
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup Cool Whip, thawed
4 tablespoons sugar
1 angel food cake, torn into bite-size pieces
2 quarts fresh strawberries, thinly sliced

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until fluffy; add sour cream, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and the almond extract; set aside.
Fold the cool whip into the cream cheese mixture.
Gently stir in cake pieces; set aside.
Combine strawberries and sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Layer in a large glass bowl, starting with 1/4 of the strawberries, then adding 1/3 of the cake mixture.
Continue layering; finish with strawberries.
Cover with plastic wrap; and chill several hours.
