Has anyone here been on Prednizone for TTC? I'm not on it for TTC but rather a serious illness and I'm on massive doses of it right now. What is it supposed to do for those TTC? I just got an immense amount of EWCM. AF is due the 23rd but was warned that all the meds that I am on could throw my cycle off.

I don't know what it's for, but there are two cycle I was on it for other than TTC reasons. When I told my RE he told me it may help TTC.

I can tell you why it helps TTC sometimes (I have MS and it is a common treatment for relapses). Prednisone is a steroid, and steroids suppress overactive immune function. In some women, an overactive immune system causes the body to attack itself and its eggs, preventing conception. Prednisone helps supress this process. So the Prednisone may have no effect on TTC for you, or it could even help. I'll defer to Brandi for a more detailed explanation.

I did find very little info on it. I still am getting tons of EWCM and showing fertile signs. I think the prednizone has thrown my entire cycle off and I knew that was going to happen.

I lurk here now and then but never really wanted to post here because I already have children. I thought it would be inappropriate for me to post since you ladies are going through so much. If I offend in anyway, please let me know!
