So what is a normal E2 level after about a week of stims? And on what cycle day do IUIs usually get done on? Also, is it fairly common for people to get pregnant on their first IUI cycle? Or does it usually take multiple cycles?

Thanks in advance!

-There is no "normal". Depends on what your stimming with, how much, and how many follies you are making.

And on what cycle day do IUIs usually get done on?
Depends when your follies are big enough to trigger. There is no specific CD. IUI is done 34-36 hours after trigger.

Also, is it fairly common for people to get pregnant on their first IUI cycle? Or does it usually take multiple cycles?
- Again, depends. Some people the first time works, some people the 6th time works.

Just wanted to add....I didn't trigger for my IUI, I used opk's because I ovulate on my own. So my IUI was around my normal ovulation time -CD15-16. I was told that we would have an IUI after my 1st positive opk, but I went in that morning for an u/s and I hadn't ovulated. My doc said that the sperm have a shorter life because they are stripped from seminal fluid....so they prefer to do the IUI after confirmed ovulation. She said they have pretty good success doing it that way. My IUI was done 48 hours after my 1st opk.

This is my first IUI cycle....I sure hope it works the first time

Thanks. My E2 is in the 700s, so I guess that means I have 7 mature eggs so far. I should be triggering tomorrow or Thursday, I hope it's tomorrow because it's definitely getting uncomfortable!

Let us know how it goes, Rebecca! If you are close to triggering, you may have fewer follies, but they may be closer to maturity. For instance, at 700, you may have 3 follies that are closer to maturity... so I guess tomorrow will tell!

Ditto to everything that Samantha said...she pretty much covered it.

Your E2 level is about 200 per 18mm follie...that is what my RE explained at the consult last week.
