So my 1st iui was a bust. Beta came back negative, and I am sure af will show her ugly face today. We did 3 50mg clomid only cycles, all ovulatory but bfn. We just tried 50mg clomid, ovidrel and iui. I had 3 mature folliciles, but bfn again. I am stating to think clomid is the problem. RE yesterday said (well nurse told me what he said, i didn't actually talk to him) that he doesn't want to change what we are doing since i responded well to 50mg of clomd. I didn't express my concern at the time because i was upset over the negative beta.

So what do you guys think?

Just try the same thing again, or should i be more forcefull about not doing clomid since I have 4 times and all bfn and ask about moving to injectables?

I would ask about changing things up. If not injects, femara works for a lot of women too! Good luck, I hope you can get them to change their minds. Remember it's your body and your baby so YOU have to push for what you are comfortable with and what you feel is right!

I would also ask about changing things up.

We did three Clomid +trigger+IUI cycles and all were
I never responded well to Clomid. I ovulate naturally but w/Clomid, I had only one follicle each cycle. AND I was on the highest dosage of 150!

This cycle we tried Follistim +trigger+ timed intercourse, and the Follistim worked, in that it produced more follies for me.

This is YOUR body, your dream of becoming a mother, and your money---talk to your RE and tell him if you feel you want to be more aggressive!

I think clomid can give you more then one follicle but if your e2 isnt high enough then you dont really know if theres an egg in the follie..

I think you should talk to him about injectables.. or atleast bumping up your clomid to 100mg

well i expressed my concerns today. I told the nurse i felt like I was wasting my time and money. She kinda thought I should give it another try since I have only done one clomid cycle with them, i was like but i have done 4 and all bfn. She said it is possible that with clomid my follicles get big enough but aren't good quality. The Re is concerned about doing injectables because of my weight (or lack thereof), and the fact that i lost weight during this last clomid cycle, where clomid usually makes you gain weight.

SOO. we are doing femara and injectables, with trigger and iui. They are also going to monitor my horemone levels more this time.

Bad news is I have to wait for af, which is fashonably late and I have been cramping and brown spotting for 5 days now. Nurse thinks I may have a cyst, so I may I have to sit out this cycle :-(

I am glad they are willing to go with your concerns and try something new. I did clomid for 3 cycles and was at 100mg and got no eggies. I did injectibles and only got one. But this time I am going injectibles about double the dose and have 25 eggis. I hope you get AF so you can get moving on this
