What can I do to help egg quality? I've read on here before that IVF gals have been advised to eat more protein. This, I can do. More water, of course! Have you all been advised of anything else? Do I need to cut down on carbs (during the holidays, oh Mary! Help!!! )

I read alot about increased protein, which I did during my IVF cycle. Last time we talked about this, someone (April?) said that her RE told her to eat eggs to help egg quality, which I guess would also help with the protein intake.
As far as carbs go, I really tried to limit my intake of empty/simple carbs because I read that it can inhibit the growth of the uterine lining. I didn't read anything about it affecting egg quality, but I'm sure eating as healthy as possible can't hurt!

My acupunturist gave me alot of ideas that help egg quality. They are supplements though. They are Spirulina (1500-2000mg), wheatgrass and/or barley grass, royal jelly, and flax oil, fish oil or other cold pressed oils.
I did the spirulina (bought at my local health food store) because I am 40 and they believe I have an egg quality issue. I also took pycnogenal. Needless to say, this cycle of IVF I am PG!
