Out of pocket, it would have been about $2,000 for the meds to do injectables. That does not include u/s monitoring or b/w or anything else...just the meds. My RE estimated that a complete injectables cycle with monitoring would be about $3,000.

Without insurance we would have been paying $1,800-2,000 each cycle. Luckily I have good coverage and I just paid the co-pay.

If we moved on to IVF they wouldn't cover any of my meds anymore, that was only the case for our IUI cycles. My insurance covered nothing if it's an IVF cycle.

Mine cost $1500, but 90% of it was covered by insurance so we only paid $150. We got pregnant on our first IUI with injects, which is good because the insurance does not pay for IVF at all.

if my insurance paid part of an IUI I would have considered it, but honestly I am glad we just did IVF. I am SO sick of waiting, and if it meant paying more to get it done faster, I am ok with it
