What do you have planned for this weekend? Something FUN I hope

I have to work at my second job all day tomorrow, so tomorrow won't be fun at all, but Sunday we are working in the BABY'S ROOM, so that will be awesome

How fun Brandi! I hope you will share pics of the room!

We have a pretty busy weekend. DD is going to a Christmas party tonight at a little boutique/party place. It's pretty cool, instead of a price for admission, the girls have to bring a bag of canned food items for a local food pantry. They will make an oranament craft, have cookies/punch and dance. She's really excited.

Tomorrow night we are going w/the kids to a local park that decorates with Christmas lights---you drive through in your car and it's really beautiful. We go every year.

Sunday we are getting our Christmas tree! We go to a tree farm about an hour away and pick it out and DH cuts it down. It's always fun. Then dinner w/my grandparents Sunday evening.

Sounds like a GREAT weekend!!!

DH and I worked ALOT in the room the other nite, so it already looks 100% better (it was just a "storage" room for all our junk!) But I will go home today and take a "Before" picture and start posting the progress if that's something you ladies would be interested in seeing

I would love to see before/after pics, Brandi!

Our *nursery* is the same way. It's a 4th bedroom that is just totally empty. It's actually going to be my Christmas-wrapping room this season.

When we moved in, we thought about setting it up as a tv room/play room for the kids, but then we decided NO...we knew it would be a nursery at some point (hopefulyl sooner rather than later!) and we did not want the kids to get used to having that space, only to take it away. So the empty room kind of symbolizes our journey to our baby...I cannot tell you how my heart will fill with joy when we get to start using it! That room is SO much more than just a room.

in our old house we had a roomthat held all the baby things i have collected from everyone else who was "done with kids. So we had a constant reminder. This house, its all staying in the garage. We have one room that is storage and one that is a spare room. Not sure if we will be in this house when a baby arrives, but I think the spare room will be the baby room when the time comes.

OOh, Brandi...I'd love to see pics when you have time!

We had sort of the same situation...the room that will be the nursery was basically storage and where I kept the baby/maternity things that I bought when I was feeling hopeful. Before IVF I cleaned it all out and repainted. Last week I organized the baby stuff I had and put my maternity stuff in the dresser. I used to hate going in there, even to use the attached bath. Now I love to go in there and think of what's to come.

As for my weekend, it will be busy. We have my husband's work Christmas party on Saturday night (cocktail/formal dress...what am I going to wear?), then church and a birthday dinner for a friend on Sunday. At some point I need to wrap presents and do some cleaning as well, so I definitely won't be bored!

Melissa I am the same as you. I always "re organize" everythin and dream of what could be. But I am not preggo, but its my little bit of release. I love looking through all the things and wondering if they willbe the right season, or if this does become twins, what outfits could go together.

Oh, ladies! fun (and productive) weekends!! I'm eager to see before and after pics, Brandi... actually, from anyone who's getting a nursery together! It's a great way to keep together and let us be excited with all you new moms!

My weekend: my DH's birthday is today, so I'm cooking a special dinner, trying to clean a bit before he gets home (Christmas stuff is EVERYWHERE), then I have to grade papers (no biggie), finish Christmas cards and send them out, get our gutters, paint them, clean out the chimney... blah blah blah... Lots of things to do before my trip to San Fran next week.

AND praying AF comes to me this weekend... It's so, so important she's here by Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
