My OBGYN decided to try Femara out on me since my ovaries have been picky with the Clomid. I produced a 21mm follicle last cycle on CD15 with Clomid but this time only produced multiple small follicles. My endo lining was 7mm. What gets me is that she is not going to induce a period and I start taking the Femara on Monday. So it's going to be a pseudo CD3. Has anyone ever heard of this or know why she wouldn't induce a period first?

This is my first time on Femara and I'm just curious.

Hmm... it does sound strange that he wouldn't want you to bleed first. I am not all that familiar with Femara, I only tried it once and had no luck.

I hope someone else on here will have some answers/help for you!

I went 120+ days without a period, took Clomid and got preggo with twins......as long as they KNOW you did not O and there's no chance of an existing pregnancy, then it's not medically necessary for you to have AF before starting meds.....

That makes some sense. As there was no chance of O'ing and no pregnancy. I wasn't aware of that though. Thank you, it makes me feel a little bit better about taking it.
