ya gotta do what ya gotta do. in the end, it IS all your decision. just take is very easy and do everything possible to follow all the other 'rules' of bedrest.

btw, what hospital? just curious...a year ago i visited a RMH up in portland at the university hospital there and it was a nice place. but i could totally relate to your feelings about being there -- it would have really been a difficult situation to have to be there on bedrest.

I agree with your decision, too. There's no way I could stay somewhere uncomfortable and unfamiliar like that when you have so much on your plate.

I know I have posted this to you before, but I have to say this is EXACTLY what happened to me when I had pre-term labor. My cervix was the only thing showing signs of going into labor. The fetal fiber nectin tests were always neg too. They made a big deal about taking it easy and in the end I got induced. You do what is best for your family. I think you are being smart going with your gut and where you will be accomodated more and able to really take it easy. Doctors are not always right! You should know that being a nurse Keep cooking that little bean!!!

I don't know what I would have done...but I'm sure it was a hard choice either way. But YAY...you're almost 30 weeks. I'm praying that you keep your little one in there for awhile longer...

Jill, I admire you for having the strength to make the decisions that are best for you and your family, despite what opinions others have about it. There's no way I could have stayed at RMH either the way you describe it, and it sounds like Lilly likes it better at home anyway! You girls are in my prayers every day, and I hope she stays put as long as possible!

Thank you so much for all the love and support girls. We have had a really good day today of hardly NO contractions and Miss Lilly being a happy little rolly polly. LOL! I called my peri this morning to tell her that I left the RMH and she was surprised but very nice and supportive about it. She said she trusts my judgement but she just has to recommend what SHE thinks is best. I'm just gonna keep laying around and what do y'all wanna bet I end up being induced at 42 weeks??? LOL!!

I wouldn't wait until 42 weeks!! Just wait until 40 weeks, and then go spend a night at RMH...that'll do it

I think I would have made the same decision you guys did! I think you did the right thing.

Really, if you had stayed at the RMH and been stressed/lonely/bored/depressed, I think THAT would be worse for Lily than being at home! At least at home, like you said, you have your son with you, and DH, and all the comforts you need! Stress is not something to be taken lightly when pregnant and the more relaxed and happy you are, the better for Lily!
