So as you can see by my ticker the witch came . My nurse at the RE office is off so I called my friend who is also a nurse there and she called my clomid in and told me to come to the office on cd3 for blood work and ultra soung. My question is AF is super heavy, do they do transvaginal ultra sounds when your bleeding heavy? Sorry this is just the first time that I have to go while on af and I'm a little embarrassed thanks for your help

Yep they sure do! I usually wear a tampon and a pad on my way in and stop at the bathroom before the u/s... they usually want your bladder empty anyway. That way I still have a pad on so afterward I don't spot on my underwear.

It isn't the most glamorous thing that I have ever done, but like Christin said, you actually do get used to it. I don't even think twice about it anymore.

I hope that your b/w and u/s come back good so you can get started with clomid!!!

The other ladies are right...it isn't fun, but it is necessary.

When I went to the ER last Friday, the nurse looked awkward and embarrassed when she asked to to an internal exam when I was bleeding. I laughed and told her that after IVF, I'll hop up into the stirrups for pretty much anyone, anytime You just get used to it after a while!

LOL. My favorite part is when they put the condom on the transvaginal thing!

It is too funny what you get used to when you're going through TTC w/MA! When I had my laparoscopy, my RE came in the room to speak with us beforehand, and my DH asked a question about the incision and my RE just pulled my medical gown all the way up, so there I am lying on the table naked from the middle of my abdomen all the way down in front of DH and RE. Not that DH hasn't seen it before but there was something very clinical about the whole thing. I didn't mind but DH looked super uncomfortable!

they did mine when my bleeding was pretty bad. It was embarrassing too, I sat up and the dr decided to make small talk and I bled all over the table and through the cloth over my lap. I was still passing clots so it was a MESS. I was really annoyed.

ugh, I hate doing them when AF is heavy. They put like a 12 x 12 inch pad thing over the table so I bleed on that, but it makes me feel so utterly gross...so I always balance myself on my tailbone so I don't leak all over the pad. When the doctor sees me doing that, she normally gets the u/s done quick so that I can get dressed and she'll talk to me afterwards.
