When will implantation occur after an IUI? I was thinking 3-5 days after? For a couple of evenings, I've had this pain (like shooting pains) that come and go in my uterus and down. And I still have it this morning. It's just uncomfortable...not enough to keep me home from work though. My IUI was last Friday, so 5 days ago. I've had this once before with an IUI, but it only lasted an hour or so and went away for good.

Anyone had this or know what this could be?

My first IUI my abdominal area got really sore and throbbed so bad that I thought maybe I was one of the rarities that got an infection as a result of the IUI, but it went away a few days later. It was so bad though, that I couldn't sleep and I cried in the wee early morning hours because I couldn't lay down, sit, or stand without the pain.

The second one went alot better, no pains. But I will say that implantation can occur at anytime really.....I am pretty sure that I implanted late since I tested negative at 11dpiui, my betas were on the low side, and my first sonogram showed me 4 days behind which the sonographer said is indicative of implanting later.

I hope your symptoms are positive!

Yes, LeeAnn, this is exactly the same thing. I hope it doesn't last days.

Thank ya for the positive thoughts LeeAnn & Kary!!!

I called my nurse and she didn't know what it could be. But reminded me that my ovaries are VERY swollen and that fluid could be causing some issues too.

I ended up having to leave work yesterday because the pain became intense. And my lower back was really hurting. I came home, got into bed and only got out for a bath and a piece of toast. I am stil home today. The shooting pains have gone away, however, I still have cramping which is manageable. I still don't feel normal though.
