I hadn't thought about it before, but I *should* be going in for my baseline appointment on Saturday (the witch is kind of being a pain right now and NOT coming when I need her- I'm 15dpo today). Will I start stims on Saturday or do they start them the next day typically?

I'm very anxious about getting started, so I was curious. I'd love it if we started them Saturday so I could be home with DH (and not in a bathroom at my office) for my first shot!

Usually you start stims on day 3 of your cycle. Also, most REs recommend doing them in the evening, so most likely you'd be home with DH anyway. We were told to do them anywhere from 6-8pm every day. HTH!

Thanks, Daisee! Actually, my RE's nurse had told me (and I'm definitely going to confirm) that my first 3 days of stims will be done at 3pm sharp. After the 3rd day, I will start my daily u/s and b/w and do the stims between 6-9pm. I just didn't want to get stuck taking that very first shot all alone in my office! I've never done a shot before so I'm nervous, but I'd feel much better if DH was with me to double check everything! The good thing is that I'll be doing 300iu of Gonal-F those first 3 days for sure and I have 300iu pens so no measuring! Yay! It won't last long, but I'm glad for the "easy" first few days.

I have done the follistim pens... they are super easy once you get the hang of it. The needle is VERY small so it really doesn't hurt at all. Does sting a tiny bit, but nothing big for me. I gave myself the shot. I thought it was easier than having DH do it... and I HATE needles, but was somehow okay with this. I always started meds on CD3 as well.

Exciting to start!!!!!! I hope to be right behind you!

Thank you! I'm actually not too scared about the Gonal-F injections (well, except for the very first one since I've never done it before). Now the HCG and the PIO.... those have me thinking!

I guess I'll just verify with the nurses when I call on cycle day 1 (which SHOULD have been today) and get the other little questions I have off my mind. Gosh, the witch just refuses to show up this time!

Once you do the follistim you won't even think twice about the HCG and PIO's... it'll all be natural.

I'll send you some AF dust to speed things along
