Any one have OHSS (Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome) with Clomid? If so can you tell me about your experiences?

My OB doesn't do u/s's with Clomid. Last month (first Clomid cycle) my progesterone was 68! I was curious then. This month, I took my last Clomid pill on Sunday. Last night, around 8:30 I started having really severe period-like cramps. I don't expect to O until the 7th. The pain last night was so severe, I was literally doubled-over in tears. The pain today has lessened, but is definitely still there...

Update: Pain has worsened considerably.

I would absolutely be calling your doctor.. I don't have any experience with this, but any pain like that needs immediate attention, in my opinion!

HUGS!

I'd be worried about a cyst more than OHSS, but I agree with Jackie...call your doc!

I had lots of cysts on Clomid, they took me off it when they finally did an u/s after being on it a year+, and I had ten cysts on each side with the biggest one being 10cm. I had no monitoring except for progesterone levels that entire year.

Thanks ladies. I hadn't even thought of a cyst. (Not sure why, I used to get them frequently.)

Hope you got in for an u/s.... I agree with the other ladies about the cyst. I've never heard of someone getting OHSS with clomid.

Keep us posted and good luck!

I hope you're feeling better Augie. My RE doesn't do any monitoring on Clomid either. I've read that it's dangerous to be on it for too many months at a time though.

Kim, I've heard that too. This is only my second month. I'm going to call the OB's office Monday. I didn't call today because they're great about fitting you in and I couldn't get there today. We only have one working car at the moment and DH had to work in Luray (about an hour and a half from here) today.

Last month was my first month on Clomid..... I had a TON of pain on my right side, VERY bad pain that kept me up from about CD 11-CD 22(when my cycle started over). At the ultrasound they saw I had a lot of fluid around that ovary, so that was probobly why! :S

Keep us posted!
