Hi! My name is Lindsay and I lurk here often. I took Clomid this month my first time ever (days 5-9) and got a + OPK on day 17. I was worried that was a little late. I got my progesterone levels checked 6 days later-last Thursday and they called today and said it was 13.6 which is consistent with ovulation. I know this is a good thing, but what does all this mean? Does this mean I could be PG or what?! I am so new to all of this. I am taking the Clomid for LPD.

Thanks for any input you may be able to give.

I wish I could give you concrete answers, but like so many things in fertility, this is one of those gray areas.

On my own, I was Oing on Day 18. My RE wasn't hapy with that, and said the longer you wait to ovulate, the more risk you have of a weak ovulation and poor egg quality. I took Clomid to help me ovulate sooner (around CD14) and my RE was much happier with that. Some REs don't mind a later ovulation...just depends on what their line of thought is about timing of ovulation.

As far as the progesterone, that number does indicate ovulation, but it really has nothing to do with a possible pregnancy. You can have a progesterone level of over 100 and not be pregnant, or have a low level and be pregnant. Unfortunately, only time will tell.

Good luck!!

Hi There and welcome!

I also have LPD and the numbers that you were talking about doesn't necessarily mean that you are pregnant, only the BFP after AF was supposed to arrive would tell that. Although my OB likes to see my number for progesterone over 10 for that same time period.

I hope you get your BFP soon!

Hi Lindsey!

I think the other ladies have answered your question. So you are around CD27ish? Are you going to test at home, or are they having you go in for a beta HCG test?

Please stick around, MA can be such a scary, roller coaster ride and you will find so much support here. No matter what stage you are with MA there is someone that can relate and help you find the answers your are looking for. And we are always good for a shoulder to lean on!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and input. Melissa, when you ovulated on CD with the Clomid, is that when you got your BFP?

Kari, I guess I am around CD 26. I have been trying so incredibly hard to not concentrate about the days and when I can test. My OB has not asked me to come in for a BETA, I guess if I am pg she will, but I am supposed to call when I get AF or a BFP to figure out where we go. WI am not temping as I get up numerous times a night for my daughter who has special needs, so she said not to stress over that as I wouldn't get a consisten chart b/c of getting up.

I truly appreciate all of your kind words. It means so much to me as this has been so tough. I conceived both my kids naturally and easily without any help so this is frustrating and difficult.

Oh, and this may be a stupid question, but what is an RE? I know most if not all the abbreviations but not this one. (I am just seeing my OB/GYN for all of this)

No such thing as a stupid questions. An RE is a Reproductive Endocrinologist. Basically, an RE specializes in infertility and are in the business of getting women pregnant. If things don't work out with your OB, I'd suggest looking into finding an RE that might be able to do some testing to figure out what the problem is this time around.

Keep us posted on testing... fingers are crossed that this first time on clomid was all you needed!

Got my period today. Completely bummed. This means my LP was only 10 days. I called and spoke with the nurse and she is going to call me today and let me know what the dr says to do. I hate that this is all so stressful.
Anyway, just wanted to update you all.
