I finally chose an RE/Clinic. It was more difficult than I thought it would be. I called to get an appt and the woman told me they just had a cancellation due to the woman getting pregnant. So I am lucky enough to get in on March 30th!!! excited and nervous all at the same time.

gonna start with CD3 hormone testing, then HSG and DH SA...
My insurance covers NOTHING!!! does anyone have any ideas on how much an HSG and SA cost? approx? I'm gonna go google it and see what i can find out. thanks gals

I am glad that your found an RE clinic and got in so quickly. I don't know about HSG as my insurance at the time covered it. SA was 90 dollars each time he went in (2007 time frame) to test out of pocket. Sometimes places will discount if you have no insurance and are self pay. I hope this helps.

hsg can be a few hundred...I think mine was $500 but it was covered by insurance, but they may give you a break since you are paying out of pocket.

I can't help with the cost question...fortunately our insurance covered testing. Congrats on taking this next step, though, and I hope you get the answers you have been needing very soon!

My HSG was covered by insurance, but we are currently shopping for REs and a couple have included it on the price list. They seem to range from $450-700. For the SA, if they are willing to send it out to a place like quest, it may be way cheaper than if they do it in office, but some will and some won't.

Congratulations on choosing an RE (that has been a hard step for us!) and getting started with your testing.

Lynda! I hope that you get some straight answers from you new RE! How exciting to have picked one AND get in so quickly!

You'll have to keep us posted on your test results and what kind of BFP plan he comes up with!

Lynda WHOO HOO!!! I am so excited for you!!

DH SA was about 80... we had a 20 dollar copayment...

Our RE gave us Ala Cart prices for things that were not covered by our insurance... We have limited coverage.. Tests for the diagnosis of infertility is covered on my insurance( blood work, HSG, hysteroscopy).. but the treatment is not... ( IVF, IUI, clomid, )..... I also had a $500 deductable for out of Network.....
(They called my insurance prior to out appt)

So I can give you prices on the IVF and IUI.... But they didn't give me the breakdown on the other tests...

KUP!!! I can't wait to hear the news of your BFP!!!!!
