I'll admit that I'm ashamed to ask (and was definitely too embarrassed to ask my doctor yesterday)... but do any of you use the tanning bed while on fertility meds and TTC? I am leaving for a big event in Florida next week and this is the one time of year that I tan to get a splash of color before I go. I'd like to get in another visit or two, but just started back on injectables yesterday and am a little apprehensive... What do you think?

I did, but when my contract went up in feb I stopped going. I only went about once a week anyways when TTC (which was a HUGE step down from my 3X week!)

I tanned occasionally while TTC...just enough that I looked healthy and not ghastly pale I asked both my RE and current OB/GYN about it, and they both said that it is as healthy when you are TTC/pregnant as it is when you aren't...just make sure you don't overheat!

One thing I did do was quit using the tanning lotions, though. The chemicals (parabens) in the lotions are hormone disruptors and I thought that was scarier than the actual tanning!

I tanned until I was 5m pregnant then the sun came out so I stopped. My OB said it was fine (one of my midwives told me to stop, but she is old and crazy ) I just left the top open with the fan on high and drank a lot of water before I got in, and when I got out!
