I for one have never done acupuncture but I know that lots of ladies on this board have and liked it. Have you considered it? Tried it? Had success?

Kari, I am trying it now. After 4 years of ttc and nearing my final IVF cycle, I will try ANYTHING!! I have been going for exactly 3 months. I go once a week for acupuncture, take daily herbs given by the acupuncturist and various other recommended herbs. I hope that I have success from it.

I have heard great things about it. I actually went once a week last cycle... still didn't ovulate but it does say that sometimes it'll take months for your body to harmonize. I'm too impatient for results though - and I just couldn't justify spending so much money every week so I took a break this cycle to see what my body did. If I actually O this month and get prego, I will definitely recommend acupuncture.

I'm dying to try it, but talking my husband into why I'm wanting to spend $150 on something that is not a proven chance to do any good is another story.

I started acupuncture this cycle and they say it can take 3 months before seeing major improvements, like anything considered natural, it seems to take more time. We are doing our first IUI next month so I guess we'll see how it goes. According to the acupuncturist, they're stats are higher than IVF success rates and they consider themselves specialists in that area. What I like about them they are supportive of charting and OPK's and everything else, where some of my doctors haven't believed in charting, and he actually knew more about PCOS than any of my doctors I've seen! They are also the only ones who have looked at my LP at all, not one of my doctors has even mentioned it... of course because they don't believe in temps! They are also treating my husband for his male factor, and they tell us they can help improve his numbers where medical doctors say there is nothing they can do. Oddly enough the night DH had one of his treatments, he said it was his best orgasm ever

While I don't know that I believe everything is a miracle, with them, I love having the hope that it will help. One of the other girls on JM went to my acupuncturist, had 4 m/c's previously and she's now pregnant and expecting in a few weeks, I'd like to think he had a hand in helping her keep her pregnancy

I just wanted to jump in real quick! I used acupuncture the day of my transfer for our FET cycle! It is the only time I have done it and guess what...Im pregnant! I have a HUGE fear of needles even with all the shots for infertility and IVF/FET but I found it so relaxing! I closed my eyes so I didnt see any of the needles and I seriously was the least stressed I had been in MONTHS! And the feeling lasted long after the transfer for me. I am not saying that is the only reason our FET was successful but I definitely think it was well worth it. If I ever have to do fertility treatments again I will be adding acupuncture to any of it! Just my thoughts!! Sorry for jumping in!
