DH and I had a consultation with my RE yesterday afternoon to discuss our options for moving forward after our third failed IUI. We decided to move ahead with IVF. I am going to start BCP in November and then plan to do the IVF cycle in December. We have to wait a little while to start for two reasons - first I have a broken foot right now and there is a slight chance that I will need surgery. I definitely don't want surgery to interrupt an IVF cycle! Also, my brother is getting married in November and we have to travel to the wedding and the wedding date would be right in the middle of the days that I would need to go in for monitoring if we did the IVF cycle in November.

So it looks like I will be doing a holiday IVF cycle. A BFP would definitely be the perfect way to start the new year!

I'm excited and anxious to get started with this! What I'm not so excited about is the cost though! Time to start looking into loans

I think it is extremely exciting that you are one step closer to getting your BFP! At least, that's how I look at each failed cycle...one step closer. Enjoy your 2 months off. I took 2 months off as well and it really has been a lifesaver for me to step away and clear my head. Ditto to the cost

its exciting to have a new plan but i know what you mean about being scared with the money, i wish insurance companies just understood more and would pay for things.

Hang in there! Just keep reminding yourself that each step you take is a step in the right direction. As long as you keep moving down the path you are comfortable with, then things will all work out.

I hope this holiday season we are all celebrating with you!
