OK girls, I need your help, starting to freak out a bit already & I've got about 12 days before its time to decide which med I'll use for my 1st IUI. My RE's office is pretty laid back, I tried Clomid & Femara both already but will be combining that with trigger for our IUI. I know I definitely O'ed on both by the 7 DPO tests I had with each med. I really had little to no side effects taking either. I've just read that Clomid produces more follies but can thin the lining. What in the world should I do ?????? Please help me decide. DH has ONLY agreed to try IUI twice then we are completely done with TTC so I've got to make this work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What would you choose ?? Do I try Femara first and if no luck then give Clomid my last chance ?

I would go with Femera! I heard it has alot less side effects and is more effective! Clomid has also thinned my lining quite a bit, which sucks!

I have no advice, as I haven't done an IUI yet, but I know you will make the right decision for you!
Good luck, hun!!

I've only used clomid so I'm not sure about Femera. I would go with the drug that you had the best results with before (best lining and number of follicles).

It's nice that the office is laid back and allows you to take an active role in your treatment...but I can see how it can be stressful by leaving the final decision up to you! Good luck!

I don't know which is better because I've only tried Clomid, I googled and seemed there were pros and cons to both! So, I just wanted to wish you good luck, we're doing our first IUI in a few days!

Remind me... what kind of monitoring did you have on clomid/femara? Do you know which one you respond to better as far as follie counts go, or lining?

I would go with what you responded to best in the past. Go with your gut... it's GOTTA work!

I'm not sure what to recommend because I don't know much about Femara. I just wanted to wish you LOTS of luck with whatever you choose!

Well this morning I decided to call & talk to the RE's nurse just to let her know CD1 will be sometime late next week probably & make sure I've got my ducks in a row prior to starting this 1st IUI. I'm going to stick with the Femara. I had NO monitoring done while on Clomid or the Femara other than just the 7DPO test. So Im pretty much blind as to how many follies or what my lining will be like. I know I'll be praying real, real hard though .........
