So I triggered Fri, Sept 21st, at about 9:30 pm per dr's orders. My question is... when can I take a HPT & be safely sure that the trigger is completely out of my system. My instruction sheet says, & I quote:

Quote:
If you do not start a period within 2 wks after taking the HCG injection, please call our office to schedule a pg test. A pg test performed any sooner may be inaccurate.
So I was thinking I'd test Wed (Oct 6th) morning if AF hasn't shown by then. What do you think? I have another RE appt Thurs the 7th so I'm not going to bother contacting my RE's office if it is positive since they'll be seeing me Thursday anyway. Oh I hope & pray AF STAYS AWAY!!!

Well, today you should be 10DPT. The trigger should mostly be out of your system by 8DPT depending on the units taken. Usually 5,000 is gone safely by 8DPT, and 10,000 by 12DPT.

i would test now!!! By 10 dpt it should definitely be out and even if you got a negative right now it's not a bad thing, it would just confirm it's out of your system, then you can just wait to see that pretty line pop right back up... like tomorrow

When I had my iui done they told me that I would have an accurate results 15 days past trigger (which I was 16dpt when I tested). I'd say that by Oct 6th you would know for sure and it would be an accurate result. Good luck!

Oh Missy, you are tooooooo sweet... I just love you, girl!!!

So I decided that I'd buy some $ store tests today AND... THEY ARE ALL SOLD OUT. Then I went to Fred's AND... THEY ARE ALL SOLD OUT TOO! I live in a small town but come on... are there seriously THAT many people around here that think they might be pg or are TTC.

I have exactly 2 FRERs & don't want to waste them. I seriously may test Monday morning with FMU but I will def hold on to one till Wed or Thurs. The reason I say Monday morning is b/c we do a Bible study every Monday at a friends house & I've already bought some pink & blue jellybeans so that when the day comes to announce it to my study group & I soooooooooooooo want to announce it to them using the jellybeans rather than FB.

I will def keep you posted, one way or another. I'm so excited & nervous too!!!

I know this is late but... My doc said to wait 2.5 weeks to be 100
% sure that I did not get a false positive or a false negative .. but then he laughed and said he knew I would not be able to wait and said 11-12 days I could get a result that was most likely correct and that I could go into his office in 2 weeks to count the number of pregnancy sacks .. I tested the trigger out.. it was almost faint day 7, extremely faint day 8/evap pinkish /veeerrrrry light bfp on day 9 and bfp on day 10... I have no control when it comes to testing after my trigger shots .I have a POAS problem....

Awwww, thanks! I am literally counting down the hours now! I had a mild migraine last night & this morning (thankfully it's gone now though), which usually means AF is on her way. But I'm not giving up... I know that when it looks the darkest is when the Lord steps in & performs a miracle so I still have hope until AF shows her ugly face. According to my average LP I should start tomorrow but I'm still praying I don't & I get to test bright & early Wed morning.
