i had my operative hysteroscopy on the 16th of september. DH and i waited a good ten days to BD after that because i wanted to make sure that everything was healed and ok up there. well, after we BDed the next day i had some spotting. it only lasted that one day so i assume it was from BDing (which isn't normal for me) now this morning i woke up with what i thought was a horrible stomach ache (lower intestinal). i went to the bathroom and found out that AF had arrived. these cramps are far worse than a normal cycle for me. what's going on??? is it possible that my hysteroscopy changed things up for me? i usually have only mild cramps... with how i'm feeling at the moment i'm considering not going to work today.

any ideas?

p.s. in case you've forgotten, during my operative hysteroscopy they "lysed" tissue because of cervical stenosis.

I would give the doctors office a call and ask what they think. After having something like that done i could see you possibly having more intense cramps but i would double checke. I hope you feel better Amy!!

I'm sorry you have pain honey. I have never had a hysteroscopy done but after my 3 other surgeries I always found AF came when I least expected her and the 1st one there were bad cramps.
I would give your Dr a ring just to check honey....

well... the good news is i made it to work. the bad news is that i'm STILL having bad cramps as we speak (it's 10pm).

i hope this isn't TMI but this morning when i wrote this i just saw that AF was on her way on the TP but she really hadn't arrived yet. well, i threw on a pad and hobbled around to get ready (yes, the cramps were that bad) and then while i was driving to work i felt a big WOOOOOOSH like the floodgates had opened ... as soon as i got to work i had to run to the bathroom and change my pad. i'm no stranger to heavy AF but this was definitely different from my usual. i think i have to chalk this up as my worst AF ever. and i found online that it's common to have a heavier/more painful AF after an operative hysteroscopy. hopefully this won't be the case again next cycle because i have my diagnostic hysteroscopy on the 13th.

Well, I'm glad to hear that things are slowly getting better for you! I hope that after your dx sx AF won't be as bad as this one was.

sooooooo... it's CD 3 and there's no AF in sight... actually i have normal CM. yesterday morning (CD 2) i had a very light flow in the morning and then nothing in the afternoon/evening. usually AF lasts about 6 days for me. so if you think that in right around 24 hours she's gone... WOW. just goes to show just how heavy CD 1 was this cycle.

That is so strange! Normal period or not you still have the second hysteroscopy on the 13th right?

Btw, were you able to talk to your doctors about the results of the first hysteroscopy?
