Let me just say that it was WAAAAAY easier and less painful than the HSG!! It was so quick too. It was an exciting feeling being next to that ultrasound machine (and it's GIANT probe lol)- wait THAT part didn't make me excited hahaha, but the fact that soon I could be seeing a tiny little baby and it's flashing heart beat was VERY exciting I am looking forward to heading down this journey again, it's one heck of a roller coaster, but is so SO worth it!!!

Next priority is to order my meds! I usually order through IVFmeds.com because they have been the cheapest, HOWEVER I recently learned that the Costco pharmacy is now carrying Repronex!! It is about 50 cents more per vial, but when compared to the 40.00 you have to pay for shipping and handling through IVFmeds it comes out cheaper through Costco. Another bonus is that it is in the next day, so I can order less and hopefully not have any leftovers in case the first cycle works!!

Now.... BRING ON AF!!!!!

** I have to edit the latter part of my message about the meds. You see we THOUGHT when they told us 90.00 some bucks for repronex they meant per box, wich made sense because that's around the same pricing we pay for overseas.... NOT, they meant 90 bucks a VIAL!!!!!! I need 30 vials... there is no way... no way I am paying that much. So.... needless to say it's back to IVFmeds.com

When are you scheduled to start your meds and which ones are you going to be on? It sounds like we may be kind of close together in our IVF cycles. I would be intersted to hear your experiences, as this is whole new experience for me.

Thanks ladies!

Cassandab~ I am actually only doing IUI. The meds I am using are Repronex injects w/ Ovidrel trigger. I am basically waiting on AF to start. I am currently on CD 10 so, she won't be here for awhile, not until early January, if she doesn't show, I will just take some prometrium to get 'er coming!!

Jackie~ Your SHG? Or HSG? Was it done by x-ray? or ultrasound? Because the HSG (xray) was aweful the first time around, better then second time, but the SHG( ultrasound) was nothing! I am sorry yours was so painful

My SHG... I just had my second one a week ago before this next IVF cycle. My cervix is a bugger, to put it politely, so we have an AWFUL time. This is why I will now be dilated a few days before my transfer this time.

oh no!! That sounds awful!!! I had some issues with that before my son, but now after giving birth, it's kinda always open a little? (sorry tmi) So hopefully after you get pg and have your first LO, then next one will be a piece of cake (assuming you will want a #2)
