Well I took clomid for the first time last cycle and af is here and my gracious, I have never in my life had an af this heavy...I never have cramps around af and normally I have a medium, heavy, medium, light, light, spotting days for af...I am on CD 2 and both CD 1 and 2 are super heavy, going through a super tampon in less then an hour plus into a pad...having serious cramps that I never get and a massive head ache....has anyone experienced this on clomid? I am on it to increase chances with unexplained infertility, I ovulate fine on my own...do you think the massive af is because I am shedding more then one egg and more lining? This is miserable, I don't think I can handle this clomid more then a couple more months.
I had that my first month with Clomid, but not any of the other months I took it. It was honestly the heaviest period I have ever had and lasted a long time (and I normally do get fairly heavy periods). I don't know why and none of the others were like that. I would have asked my doctor about it because it was so much blood it scared me, but I was out of town at the time.
Prior to clomid I had light:medium:light:lighter (always 4 days). On clomid I had light:SUPER HEAVY:medium:light every month. The super heavy was insane, I pretty much had to live in the bathroom if I didn't want to leak through (sorry TMI).
It seems to affect people differently, I hope this was a one-time thing for you!

Thanks ladies, maybe it won't be as bad next cycle since I see some of you had the heavy issues the first month...I have always been blessed with moderate af's with little to no cramps at all...this af is no fun...I am switching to soy from clomid if no bfp in 3-4 months of clomid.
