Doc called. My levels were 43. Really low she said. She said it concerns her and it leads her to think it's "spontaneous abortion" ...Pretty words for a woman trying to conceive. She said she won't know for sure what's going on until my betas tomorrow. I have been bawling like a baby. She said those levels are like someone who is 1-2 weeks pregnant. And at 4 weeks, she'd like to see me at over 600. So ladies, either I miraculously conceived much later in the cycle or I am 'spontaneously aborting'. Gross.

The main thing is that is should atleast double. My first IVF my beta was 24. Needless to say the pregnancy didn't last. My second IVF at about four weeks my beta was 297 - definately not over 600! I hope your levels continue to go up!

Here's hoping you ovulated late and you get a BIG number next time. I know low betas are super-stressful, hun...I wish I could do something to help.

((Hugs)) I'll be praying for you.

My last IVF my beta at 15dp5dt was only 99 but the result of that low starting beta is the pretty little girl in my siggy so it CAN work out.

Mine was 131 and because my cycle is funny she was not alarmed until the second one showed no doubling and a drop on progesterone level. Otherwise the first number alone matched the u/s and that wAs good. There is hope

Thank you so much, everyone, for the encouraging words and hope and just support.. This has been so hectic. I feel totally wiped out. I am praying for the best but prepared for the worst. I guess that's just life.

Ok I just have to say that I think that is crap! haha At 3w5d so almost 4 weeks my beta was only 20!!! All that matters is it doubles every 48-72 hours. And really increasing at all is a great sign. My RE told me that anything 2 or above at 4 weeks pregnant is a definite positive. So I would say stay positive!! I am 35 week right now and going strong!

100% agreement with you!!! This is ridiculous! Sounds like she has NO idea what she is talking about!!! at 12 dpo my beta was 72, which I thought was pretty high, even in the range of twins. The next one, which would be 4 weeks was 170... NOWHERE NEAR 600 or over!!!

All that matter is that they increase appropriately. I am just amazed by how ignorant she was... I am so sorry, 43 sounds like a fine number for where you are. I am praying all works out

What really makes me mad is that this isn't even my doctor- it's my doctor's PA. I have yet to see his face throughout all this trauma. It is so unsettling and really makes me mad. I just, ugh... I don't know. So much confusion. I feel really really woozy and nauseous today- I am hoping that's a good sign that things are progressing.

I am so sorry for that rollercoaster you're on! I agree with PP about what was said about the doubling being the main thing to look for. I've seen women report low numbers and have healthy babies. Hoping your next beta is a good one!
