The day after I posted I got a positive OPK I had horrible pains in my abdomen and tried so hard to wait it out but couldn't. I ended up going to the ER. They did a pelvic u/s and found huge pockets of fluid and blood as well as a 4cm cyst and tons of other small cysts/follicles. I was given lots of pain meds and knocked on my butt. Yesterday I had an appt w/ my OB/GYN only to find out he quit the practice without so much as a notice to his patients... ***? What kind of dr. does that? It sounds kind of fishy to me. I wonder if he did something and got fired or was asked to resign? Anyway, I'm kind of glad because the new doctor I saw is getting things rolling, finally. This is my last month in Missouri and he is sending me to an RE. First DH has to do a SA. I have the kit and everything and we can take it to the hossy whenever he gets it "done" lol. My new doctor is going to pull some strings and get me into one of his RE buddies in St. Louis hopefully next week. I am so excited! He thinks I will definitely need a trigger shot and monitored cycles which is what I have been saying all along. I am so glad someone is on my side for once and listening to me! Maybe this next cycle will be OUR cycle!!
As much as the cyst and all that sucks, I'm excited for you to meet with the new RE and get started on the monitored/Trigger cycles! The trigger shot is cake, don't worry about doing it!
After years of trying, 2 years of fertility meds, multiple surgeries, blood draws and needle sticks, some awful pre-IVF complications, and endometriosis and PCOS,
We are done TTC. Praying for peace as we accept this...
Hoping for some comfort after our most recent (and 3rd) surgery and starting Lupron!
So sorry about the pain and awfulness from the Clomid! Glad you're better now.
And, speaking as a doc's wife who has insight into how those sorta things work, it DEFINITELY sounds like something fishy was going on with your former doctor. No one leaves w/out any sort of notice to their patients unless it was something serious. So I'm glad you're no longer under that person's care!
And your new doc sounds like a winner. Glad you have a plan you're excited about!
