Where did you go for your honeymoon? If no honeymoon, what was your favorite vacation/trip with your SO?

We went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It was nice, but not somewhere we would go back again.

We went to Akumal, Mexico for a week. It was awesome and by far the best vacation I've ever been on!

This summer we'll be married for five years and unfortunately, we haven't been on a trip since our honeymoon. :-(

We went to Gatlinburg, TN. I looooooove the mountains and we're both outdoorsy, fishing people so it was perfect =)

We were broke people at the time, so we just did one night at a nice hotel at Avila Beach, CA. It was very nice, and we both had a great time! We even rented bikes and rode them down to the beach, ate lunch at the restraunt on the pier, and wrote "Thanks!" in the sand to use for our thank you cards.

We went to Vermont to get married, so that was a "destination wedding" for us.
The day after we were married, we hiked to the top of Mount Ascutney, and enjoyed the beautiful fall foliage.

We stayed at a resort in Cabos San Lucas Mexico. We were so young and had never gone on a trip completely on our own (we were 19 and 21) So it was insanely exciting for us. We had an awesome Honeymoon suit, and spent most of the time in it

my favorite trip though was our 3rd year of marriage when we went to Hawaii. Best trip ever. We had a family friend has a vacation house there who let us stay for free. It was on it's own private beach too!!!

We weren't in a position for a "real" honeymoon when we got married, but we did stay over nite in a very beautiful bed and breakfast in St. Augustine.

However, my most favorite trip with DH was to Cozumel in Jan. 2009. DH won "Tecnician of the Year" at work and we were able to go on a one week long cruise for basically free

It was fabulous!

We took a cruise to the Bahamas on the Norwegian Sky. DH upgraded us to a Penthouse suite at the last moment. After we go back, we spent two nights in Baltimore before coming back home.

I was about a week away from starting grad school when we got married, so we took about 5 days and went to Bar Harbor, Maine. It was great fun. We stayed in a honeymoon suite, went kayaking and hiking...very beautiful!

Favorite trip (apart from that honeymoon) would have been to China...Shanghai and Hong Kong.

We went to St. Lucia and it was divine! We stayed the first part of our honeymoon in a resort in a room with only 3 walls. You could lie in bed and look out over the hillside into the Carribean Sea with the breeze blowing. The second part was in a more conventional resort and we learned to SCUBA dive and ate and drank wine and slept the whole time. It was wonderful... ahhhhhh.....

We went to Las Vegas. It was the first time for both of us and we had a blast.

Next year will be our 10th wedding anniversary and we plan on taking a cruise. For our 5th anniversary we went back to Vegas but for 10, we want to do something extra special.
