So this morning my mother-in-law and I went to Boise for my baseline ultrasound and injection teaching, and everything went good. The tech counted 11 follicles on my right side and over 20 on my left side which is really good. The shot teaching was quick but I do have to say that the Bravell and Menopur burns, especially compared to the Lupron. It is a little bit complicated because I take one ml of the saline to dilute one vial of Bravelle and then I draw that up to dilute the other vial of Bravelle and then use that to dilute the Menopur. It is not to bad but the sting is definantly something. Thank goodness I only have to do maybe 9 more days of the shots before the retrieval. I have an estradiol blood draw on Tuesday and then another ultrasound on Thursday to make sure that everything is doing what it is supposed to be doing and then depending on how that goes I may have another ultrasound on Friday and or Saturday. We have a estimated retrieval date of Monday, January 17th, so hopefully my body cooperates so that everything is pretty close to those dates. I am soooo anxious and excited but the unknown is killing me. So far I haven't had any noticable side effects from this new injection but its only been a couple of hours, so we will see.

Woohoo!! Isn't it all so exciting!
I had injection class on Tuesday, and I am starting my Lupron tomorrow (most likely).

Best of luck to you!! Everything sounds like it is going well for you so far - all burning sensations aside, of course!

You get less stinging if you wanna give yourself 2 shots (but no one wants to have to do that) just to the 1cc of bravelle and 1cc of menopur separate. Burns A LOT less.
