So my memories on this topic are a little dusty, since I haven't taken clomid in over a year now. But when I did take it I only ovulated the first month, and then didn't ovulate again the next 2 months. The weird thing is that I did have an LH surge the second month but didn't ovulate. Do trigger shots help in these cases? I can't remember. Thanks!

The HCG trigger shot will force you to O within 24 hours.

The same thing happened to me. I responded super to the first round of 150mg and then after wards, nope. My body did gear up for it though . I have no idea why my RE didn't have us trigger.

My RE always has me trigger that way they know exactly when you'll O. They say you O within 24-36 hours from the time of the shot.

I'm just a lurker but I did use MA to conceive my son. When I took Clomid, my body did not respond at all so I never O'd on it. Even when my doctor gave me a trigger shot, I still did not O. They can certainly try a trigger shot in this case and it will most likely work (as it does for most people). It just didn't with me. I had to move on to Metformin instead.

I too am having questions about this. I am on 100mg clomid, monitored with ultrasounds, and trigger shots. I produced one follicle this cycle, did the trigger but never got AF. I am now on provera to induce AF. The cycle before this everything worked as I thought it would. Can the trigger work sometimes and not others.
