Today was my first RE appt! I my RE! He is awesome!

They started off by doing an u/s. They found a lemon sized cyst on my left ovary.. and no MA can be done w/ a cyst like that... so we opted for an aspiration right then and there. It wasn't very painful. Just a pinch and it was so cool to see it shrink and shrink. Underneath I have a perfect ovary in which he said were lots of follies.. too many to count. My right ovary is well... no cysts. My uterine lining is great! I'm on CD 28, so it should be which is great. DH's sperm came back great!!!

75.5 million
ph8
80% rapidly going in the right direction
and 95% morph
(perfect sample!)

My RE said Clomid is NOT the drug for me. They took blood today to test for progesterone and will call me back tomorrow w/ results. He is thinking we will do either Femara w/ a trigger shot or injectables with u/s monitoring of course. I am so excited. I think this month could be it! He sees no reason I can't get pregnant easily on the right medications. He says if this cycle doesn't work, he will help me find an RE in Tacoma where we are being stationed at the end of February. All in all GREAT appt

*edit*
RE's office called back today. My progesterone is low. It's 1.3 I think they said, but AF also showed today, probably cause the cyst is gone lol. But I probably didn't ovulate either.. so it was expected. The new protocol is Femara... starting on CD 5, I forgot through what day she said. I go Monday for a baseline U/S and I will find out more info and get the script for the Femara. We will also be keep a close eye on the follies and if it/they are not growing large enough injectables will be added in and I will be triggering when I get a mature egg(s). On the 28th I have to get a post-coital - I'm sure you ladies know what that is... where DH and I BD and then and then they test the sperm inside me. There's also a couple other tests they're doing as well. I'm just going to keep the faith and keep focused. It's a 2 hr drive EACH way to my RE.. so that will keep me busy... along w/ my almost 22 month old

sounds like a good appt

femara is a lot easier on our bodies, lots of RE's choose to use it instead of clomid because it can be so dang harsh.
glad they are doing monitoring with you!
