I called my RE's office today and asked the nurse how often they suggest that couples with no known male factor BD. She said every other day. She said that if you BD every day, then that doesn't give DH's sperm enough time.

Every other cycle, we've BD'ed every day during my fertile time. What have you ladies been told by your RE? Every day or every other day during the fertile time?

Thanks!

Every other day. Sperm need time to regenerate. In cases of severe MFI i've been told,4 days before O, the day before, during and after ovulation.

We don't have MFI in our case, but my RE always told us that every other day was optimal for healthy, motile sperm that would get the job done.

MY RE has always told us to "keep having a lot of intercourse" His exact words.

We probably should BD every other day, but during that week, I can't stay away from DH. And he never complains.
