It's official...Ashley and I are going to work our hardest to get this board back to the happening place it once was. We have both been around a while, but we have a lot of new faces, so I thought it might be nice for us to introduce ourselves!

I'm Melissa (29), married to my high school sweetheart Jon (31) for almost 10 years. I'm an accountant now working mostly from home, and DH is a pilot in the Air Force. We have one little girl, Claire, and 2 cats. We both grew up in the country and definitely prefer to be outdoors and active. He's a spontaneous adventurer and I'm a careful planner, so we complement each other well

We started TTC in the summer of 2007, and had no luck the first year. I made an appt. with my OB to find some answers. In September 2008, I found JM when looking for info about HSG tests, and became a co-host in November of that year. Testing revealed that DH and I were perfectly healthy, so we tried 3 natural IUIs. When those failed and we tired of my OBs heartless joking about infertility, we moved on to an RE. We did more testing and I had a lap, and then we did 3 rounds of Clomid + IUI. After those failures, we decided to make the leap to IVF w/ ICSI, which helped us conceive Claire in November 2009. I just had my first PP positive OPK yesterday, so we're going to try naturally until we do an FET this summer.

That's my story...if you have any ideas for the board, please let me or Ashley know. I'm excited about the opportunity to co-host again, and look forward to being more active on the board. I know I say this a lot, but I would have completely lost my sanity if it weren't for all my TTCMA sisters, and I hope to do my part to make our little family even better!

Your turn, Ashley

Im Ashley (24) and my DH is Jason (25, 26 in a few weeks!) Im an accountant and also just started up my photography business a few months back, so I am a very busy woman right now. DH is an electrician, and is working towards his masters so that he can open up his own business. We have two dogs (Molly & Jake) and im not exaggerating one bit when I say they are Jason's children. Dont get me wrong, I love them....but Jason is just on a whole different level. Haha. We both grew up in the same town (where we live now) and went to the same high school.

We started TTC in Nov 2008, I quickly got pregnant and miscarried 3 times. Then April 09 came and Jason proposed to me! So, we took a break from April-September and started TTC again right away after the wedding. A couple months went by and I got pregnant again in December 09 and miscarried right away again. We started seeing an RE in January 10 and had the whole recurrent loss bloodwork panel done, I had an HSG, and Jason did an SA. I found out I had an MTHFR gene mutation, and Jasons numbers were somewhat low. Long story short we did an IUI with that RE and I just wasnt happy with the way I was being treated so we found a new one and she went over my HSG films and discovered that my right tube was completely blocked and doesnt know how my old RE missed this and went ahead with an IUI (when I was ovulating from the RIGHT side nonetheless). We did 3 months of Clomid and another IUI with this new RE and Jason and I came to the conclusion that we werent going to waste anymore $ on IUI's and just start saving for IVF. The RE agreed that was the best option for us at this point. I am only on baby aspirin for my gene mutation (it causes blood clots) and I believe I need to be on a stronger blood thinner, so next week im hoping and praying that my OB will prescribe them for me because my RE wont. We'll see!

That got long, sorry!
