Sorry I have not been around much this week. Just really stressed.

I got a call today from the RE. He said some of the embryos did not make, was not sure how many are left. He is waiting 1 more day.....tomorrow would be day 7......Is that ok? Don't they freeze at 3 or 5? He said he's concerned that if this happens again(all embryos are bad quality) that it was something to do with my eggs and his sperm not being a good match.....does that make since?
He said he will call me tomorrow if any of them are going to freeze but he is planning on that not happening.

He said we need to wait for 2 AF's before we can schedule the LAP So I'm assuming the IVF is not an option until July/Aug

I'm definitely going to be hanging around and posting but probably not as much. It's just really hard for me. Thanks everyone for everything

If you are noticing arrest or anuploidy, I'd suggest getting a DQ Alpha Match HLA test to see if your genetic material is too close in match or a bad match

I'm so sorry Brynn!

I don't know much about IVF yet, so I can't answer your questions, but I really hope someone can help.

I'm sorry Brynn. I don't know about the sperm and egg issue. I hope that they come up with an answer BEFORE you try again, so you don't have to go through this again.

being to closely related genetically is really rare ...I would be more concerned with just egg quality in general. You could be on the wrong protocol...menopur can sometimes bring way to much LH to the table and it can ruin eggs making them very poor quality.

your ivf is pretty close to what mine were in terms of E2 levels...empty follicles...and half of the eggs retrieved being mature. The two times I used follistim and menopur I had really bad eqq quality...our third ivf we used Bravelle only...which is mostly FSH with only 2% LH in it...I ended up with Grade A quality embryos...4 to be exact...previously we had C and D quality.

Brynn... this is an important question to ask.... Do the embryo's look great at Day 3 and then arrest or Do they look "ok, but not great" from the beginning" If they look great on Day 3 and then arrest (mine did this) it is a problem most likely with the man... if it is so-so from the beginning than it is most likely a problem with egg quality. This is an important thing to find out so you can attack the problem. For our second IVF RE and I had DH tetoxifying and taking hormones to improve his sperm and we did a 3 day instead of a 5 day because they all arrest by day 5. I also agree with above that a change of meds might work also...I am thinking of you...

Not sure about the egg and sperm problem but I did a 5 day transfer that sadly didn't work. I had 6 embryos make it to blast 2 transferred and the other 4 were frozen on day 6.

I'm not sure you were around during my IVF cycle Brynn, but I had really, REALLY slow developing embryos. I did a 5-day transfer, and the others were frozen on day 6. At 9dp5dt, my beta was only 11.8. They told me that my pregnancy was not viable....and then over the next week my numbers started to progress normally. It is definitely possible to have embryos that are Pokey and still get good results...please hang in there!

this may have nothing to do w IVF, as i have never done it, but there is a blood test that i keep mentioning, called MIS, which no one has mentioned, taht is a critical piece of the puzzle; it tells you how your ovarian reserve is; it is elective and insurance does not pay, but i highly recommend it; i found out that i am JUST above normal with my eggs; a few point less and i would have been in serious trouble; you can take at any time in your cycle; takes 2 weeks, as something has to grow

MIS is an option but most docs prefer AMH instead. It's a tad more stable than MIS or FSH.
