I went and purchased 30 internet cheapies on ebay for like $5 because I am so fearful about 2-3 days before af to wipe and find out I am not pregnant by spotting, so I wanted to prepare myself for it this time so I started taking the thinnest, cheapest looking internet strips I've ever seen, these things are like 1/8 inch wide, so flimsy. I started at 9 DPO and nothing but a major evap line about 2 hours later, couldn't tell if it had color though. The next day I took two more and they both developed awful noticeable evap lines after the time limit, I then took two more yesterday on 11 DPO and just shortly after the time limit I got a clear as day pink second line, not an evap because it was pink, I allowed it to get my hopes up a little bit, I have since taken 3 more strips, none nearly as noticable and pink as the one from yesterday but nearly all of them develop evaps, even before the time is up, I seen a slight line like at 2 minutes but its so darn light that it looks colorless...these tests are for the birds.

I still think its helped me to prepare for af or spotting in the next day or two but man, I wonder how they would work if I took them when I was actually pregnant...very unreliable but what do you expect for $5?

hmm when I was ttc I took a test when I knew it'd be negative. i wanted to see what an evap would look like. I was 8dpo I believe? anyways I still have the test and the test I took at 10DPO that was a BFP.

the 8DPO still doesn't have any line and I took it in may 2009 and the BFP one still looks the same as it did the day i took it.

My fertility dr recommended this specific type of test to me and I definitely like them.
By the way they gave me a BFP when my level was even below 25!

they're from Pregnancy Test and Ovulation Predictor Kits - Buy tests at cheap wholesale prices for less than $0.30 per test kit. and they are the cassette ones.

I know their are all different types of internet cheapies, the ones I got are awful, they have a green handle that says HCG all over it and thinner then a typical internet cheapie.

I bought some internet tests that were small and flimsy as well and I've never seen evaps on them, even well after the time limit, so maybe just make a post asking people where they got ones that they like? These are the ones I got if you're interested: Pregnancy Tests Strips

These are the ones I use as well. I also get their OPKs, and I actually like them both.
