I had mentioned last week that i had a bunch of tests done for my early pregnancy losses. The doctor called today to tell me everything came back normal. The only tests we didnt do was the Parental Karyotypes test on either Mike or I. Im assuming that we should prolly still do it because even though all the other tests came back normal, our issue could bethe genetic stuff. Do you guys think we should still do the Karyotypes test? Its about 600 per person so i need to convince Mike to do it.

My insurance did cover most of mine. We only had to play like $50 in the end for my Karytyping.

I wish my RE was that nice, but he really isnt a very good people person and not as caring as my regular OBGYN has been. I think im going to wait and see if we get billed for these other tests( hopefully my ob was able to get them to pay) Then go from there in figuring out if we can spend the money for the other tests.

Have you called your insurance company to see if they will cover it? Many ins. companies, though they don't cover the "treatment" of infertility will cover the diagnostics......Just a thought Good luck hunnie!

Thanks Brandi! I did try talking to them back in September and October when the RE first suggested these test and no one at the insurance company could give me a straight answer. I was so frustrated at that point i just gave up.So i prolly should try calling them again and see what they say. Ill be sure to keep you guys updated.

Please do! I hope they cover it! It seems like something that would/should be covered! GOOD LUCK!

We hav hsa so they just give a % discount. But it was only $600 for both of us. Nothing was wrong...but it was nice to know our rpl is not genetic. One less issue for us!
