I figured I would start this blog to keep me sane through this whole IVF process. I feel if this process is anything like the IUI procedures we've gone through then I am in a world full of trouble. Here's what we have so far:
1.) Been diagnosed with unexplained infertility as of April 2011
2.) As of July 20, 2011 I have been diagnosed with blocked and scarred tubes (if that is even a diagnosis.) after having a laparoscopy
3.) We have decided with the recommendation of our doctor to proceed with IVF.
4.) We are POP patients so I have NO IDEA how we are going to pay for all of this.
5.) My 2 year old daughter asks me sometimes daily when she will have a brother or sister.
6.) Which makes this process all the more important for me.
I'm insanely nervous and excited for this process. DH and I have one shot at this and I hope our first try is successful. We plan to have IVF with ICSI and assisted hatching, we're covering all of our basis to make sure this WORKS. Its extremely expensive but it will all be worth it in the end. We have our first consultation with the RE next Thursday I am really excited to see what is going to happen. I'm scheduled to have a cross country trip so I want to make sure everything is timed correctly so we have the best chance of this working.
I am praying and begging GOD to let this work. Will update again after our first consult appt.
Me: 30 two blocked tubes
