I know all doctors are different but what should we expect from our first visit? Did you have any tests done at your first visit? What all did you do?

My first visit was actually a consult only. So we just sat there and talked about what the treatment plan would be. At some point you come in and have a lot of bloodwork done: FSH, LH, E2, etc. to see if any red flags come up. For example, if your FSH is too high, your eggs might be old. If your LH is high, it might be PCOS. They'll also do an ultrasound of your uterus and ovaries. So if anything is oddly shaped there, that might be a red flag. Sometimes they also do genetic screenings to see if you are a cystic fibrosis carrier, but I'm not sure if that testing is standard.
