Can you believe it is November? My sister mentioned that it is only 55 days until Christmas...I guess I better get started on my shopping

How is everyone? What's new?

Jen, your AF dust is working already...I started to spot this evening. At least I know that she's on her way and that my body won't pull any tricks on me this month!

When do you all decorate for Christmas? I noticed someone down our street putting lights on their house this evening and it seems kinda soon for that. Maybe I'm just a Grinch We usually don't do anything until after Thanksgiving...I like my fall decorations.

I'm one of those scrooges who won't decorate or listen to any holiday music until the day after Thanksgiving. I love that stuff, but I don't want to start too early. I tend to Christmas shop early, though.

Jen, I'm really curious what word you wrote that was bleeped out. But I'm sorry you aren't happy.

Melissa - you get to do more planning for your FET now, right?

I'm still feeling totally normal waiting for something to happen. I keep forgetting to test out my trigger in the morning. It should be getting kind of close. Maybe just a few more days. Instead of obsessing about baby stuff, I've been spending a ton of time on cruisecritic.com reading stuff about cruising. It feels a little nuts, but it's better than spending that energy feeling sorry for myself, which was pretty much what I did last cycle.

Do you ladies have other things you obsess about to keep your mind off fertility?

lol, it starts with a b and rhymes with witch, lol!

Katherine, I find the cycles are best when I can't obsess. Last time I was obsessing about DH's upcoming deployment.

Melissa, glad she is showing up! I don't decorate for christmas until after thanksgiving, but I also live where there is no snow. When I lived in the rocky mountains, we always put up our christmas lights outside at halloween, before all the snow and such, but we never turned them on until after thanksgiving. I'm not sure where you are living now, but that might have something to do with it.

My uncle is currently in the hospital He was trimming a tree for his sister and the branch fell and knocked down the ladder and he landed on his back. He's got broken ribs and fractured vertebrae. They're probably going to have ot operate to remove bone fragments from his spine area, they are worried about them shifting and causing paralysis. It's times like these I hate living so far from family and unable to do anything to help.

Jen, I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. I will keep him in my prayers. I agree that living far from family really sucks sometimes...I'm sure he knows you are thinking about him.

Katherine, the first time around I obsessed about baby stuff...I just couldn't help myself. By the time I got pregnant, I had already bought a TON of maternity clothes and lots of baby stuff. I went overboard, but I was just trying to make it through each cycle with my sanity. This time I am the total opposite! I am almost scared to think about any baby stuff because I don't want to jinx it.

I am supposed to call my RE on CD1, so I want AF to hurry up and show full-force!!

Jen, do you know when you'll get your test results back?

3-4 WEEKS. ugh. It's driving me batty. It takes that long for the genetic karyotype results. most of the results will be in next week, but it's those that take the longest. I'm supposed to call in the first week of december to talk to my RE, so we have the rest of that month to make plans before we cycle again.

Wow, I had no idea it took that long! I guess it would take a while to get through 14 vials of blood though I hope November goes quickly for us both!

Jen so sorry it's going to take that long. What torture! So sorry about your uncle. OMG I hope he recovers quickly. What a scary situation.

KMH I hope AF shows up so you can go ahead and call.

As far as the holiday decorations go I hope we start hanging up lights soon. The sooner we start the more decorations I get! We don't turn it on until after Thanksgiving though. We LOVE Christmas lights on the house. We are in FL btw. lol One year we had a snow machine on the house. hahaha As far as my cycle, things are looking up. I actually o'ed around CD15-16 which is SUPER early for me! yay! I normally don't until after CD20. I hope with a younger egg it will do the trick. Check out my chart if you don't mind. This is my first month temping.

ooh, good luck Anna! It's so nice when our bodies cooperate!

Melissa, it's because of how the genetic stuff is done. I guess they grow some cultures out in the lab, then they are literally analysing every single chromosome.

My disney photo cds came in the mail today!

Oh, wow, that looks like such a fun trip! I have to say all the animals are my favorite...I could stare at those tiger pictures all day long The fireworks look pretty cool, too. The bats kind of gave me the creeps, and those alligators...holy smokes they were huge!

Did you bring back any food for us to sample?

Jen, I'm so sorry about your uncle's accident. I live far from my family and I feel exactly the same when they have a health issue. In may my brother had knee surgery and my husband and I traveled there to help the first weekend but we had to come back for our jobs. I know that one little weekend wasn't much help when I think of the months of rehabbing he had. Couldn't do stairs, coudn't do laundry, that type of thing. So i know our one weekend didn't really help and I wish it was different.

Jen you look so cute in the disney photos!

Yes it is nice when your body actually works! lol

Ashley no I am not positive, but my temps are a little wacky. My sleep schedule is so off and weird. I work the night shift during the week so I'm sleeping during day, but then the weekend I sleep at night like normal folks. I tinkered with my chart so if you would like to check it now. I only discarded one temp. It makes sense though b/c that day I remember waking up multiple times, and I woke up early in the evening b/c my DH had an evening gig. That day was off. So now I'm 6DPO. YAY!

Melissa hope AF arrives soon so you can move forward with your FET!

Jen- those pictures make me excited for when we take DD to Disney. Won't be for another 2-2.5 years though. Her and my husband have MEN( multiple endocrine neoplasia, its a genetic mutation) iit basically gives them a 100% chance at developing thyroid cancer. Usually happens later in life but can strike as early as age 6. Dh had his thyroid removed prophylacticly at age 20 when we found out about it. DD has the gene mutation and it's recommended she has hers removed by age 5. So that's going to be our surprise to her after the surgery!!

Afm- AF showed last night. And after many talks we decided we will try 1 last time like we originally planned. So I'm really hoping those cysts are gone! And I'm really nervous about this final cycle. Im hoping and praying it works and if it doesn't I'm just praying that we find peace in knowing we tried our best and it just wasn't meant to be.
