Uhm, it's DECEMBER? Where the heck did 2011 go? We are only days away from 2012 now, and 2012 WILL be our year! I'm telling Santa that we've all been very good girls, and that we need to have babies for Christmas next year.

Chat away ladies.....

I agree! That's the first thing on my list for all the ladies here, BFP's!

Seriously though, where did 2011 go?! Time flies by way too fast.

Seriously! Santa gave me my hubby for this Christmas since his deployment got canceled, but there's already the next one on the books I really want to be massively pregnant before he leaves on this one.

There's always the next one...boo! I know that we're so lucky they get to retire after only 20 years, but those 20 years are LONG

Today is CD1 for me, so I just left a message with my IVF Coordinator. Hopefully she'll call back today so we can order my drugs (Estrogen and Progesterone, both will be IM injections) and make my monitoring appointments with my local RE office.

But who's counting, right? We're only at the halfway point, so I try not to think about it too much.

Can I just complain about Wal-Mart for a minute? In the last month, they started putting protective plastic boxes around their HPTs So if you buy a box, the cashier has to walk it over to the head cashier to deactivate some kind of sensor, then walk back over to your line and scan the HPT box. What a pain in the butt! And it just draws attention to what you are purchasing! I'm trying to stock up for our FET, but it looks like I'll have to get them somewhere else.

Kroger has done this now too. With OPK's as well...I guess I'll just be ordering off of Amazon from now on, because that's insane :/ I want to be all ninja about it but everyone knows us in this tiny little town I live in. my only other choice is to go in at like 2 am......

That is funny...I was just looking at them on Amazon.com! I think I'll just figure out what I need and order everything at once. While I'm at it, I think I'm going to order a nice heating pad. 15 weeks of IM shots is going to take a toll on me, and I'm not sure the crappy Walmart one I have now is going to cut it!

My favorite heating pads are the rice bags or corn bags. I'd say get one of those instead, then no cords to deal with! I ordered a bunch of OPK's and HPT's off of amazon before and was pleased with the service, just sucks that I can't use my giant pile of coupons then, lol

Hmm, you mean the ones that you heat in the microwave? I have never used one of those. Does the heat last for a long time?

yup, those! Depending on how hot you heat it, yes. I use them when AF is in town and usually I only have to have DH reheat it for me every 2-3 hrs. You can always make one cheap with rice and old socks, lol!

I have one of those heating pads. For some reason I cannot stand the smell of it once it's heated.

I added essential oils to mine, so it always smells good. I love it, I have it warmed up at my feet right now, lol

Okay, I really might have to check these things out. Hooray for 2-day shipping

I am filling out new patient paperwork for my monitoring clinic...so many questions!! Oh, and here's a joyful little surprise...if this works and I do get pregnant, this clinic won't take Tricare for early pregnancy monitoring, so I'll have to pay out of pocket for that. I am SO not a fan of all this out-of-pocket nonsense!

that's annoying! I'd seriously look into seeing if your PCM will do your early monitoring for you, should this all work out.

I would use a new sock if you are going to make your own heating pad, not an old sock.

Even if it is free, I'm not about to go do anything at a military hospital, which is where they will want me to go. I'm going to try and get a referral to a civilian women's clinic, though, and go from there. They allow (actually encourage!) VBACs, so I'm pretty excited.

Gretchen, you crack me up! Can you imagine a nice, heated dirty sock?

Mission Accomplished! I have a regular heating pad, one of the corn-filled ones (NOT in a sock) and a ridiculous quantity of various HPTs on order. I'm ready

lmbo! I don't use a dirty sock, just the spare boot socks we have lying around. DH has so many mismatched ones he can't use anymore.

Good luck with the referral to the regular clinic. My PCM is at a military clinic, but off post, so its pretty sweet. Unfortunately, I'd have to go to standard to get an OB off base right now.
