So I had my first actual appointment with the fertility specialist. I had a pap smear along with an ultrasound and whopping 16 vials of blood taken. It went well though. It looks like I haven't ovulated yet but she says it could be happening any day now. My lining is nice and thick and she couldn't see anything wrong going on. Jesse had 4 vials of blood taken for his blood tests and we also had a genetic testing consult to go over what tests they do. We have to call Tricare to make sure they cover the tests they want to do and then if they do cover it we are going to go ahead and do it.

It was a pretty nice appointment overall.

Glad everything went well so far!

Tricare always covered all our testing, but we never had any genetic testing done. Maybe Jen can help answer this one?!?

good luck!

I just had the entire gamut of genetic testing done through my RE, including the karyotype and tricare covered it completely since we had documented losses. I know my RE deals with Tricare constantly, so he's pretty familiar with what they will cover and won't. I'd suggest you call just to make sure, I believe my referral was put in for infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss and it was all covered under that.
