I just started taking progesterone cream this cycle and have been having really bad nausea. Any suggestions on remidies or anything I can try to combat this ugh. Pregnancy nausea I could handle its for a purpose but this plain sucks!

I took my progesterone right before bed...that seemed to help me.

Hi Mandy. I am having the same issue. It’s not a bad nausea but it’s just enough to be annoying for me. I was hoping it was pregnancy symptom but am pretty sure it’s not. The only other thing it could be from is the progesterone. My Doctor has me on the suppositories.
I have not answers for you, but I hope you feel better! I hope you are really pregnant and it’s not the progesterone at all.

LOL I hope I am pregnant too but this early it IS just the progesterone. I am only 7-8DPO. I take the cream 2x day and my nausea is constant all day. Its not BAD but it sure is annyoing!

I was going to ask if you had a trigger shot, as those can definitely make you nauseous, but at 7-8dpo I'd think that would be gone by now even if you had... I start progesterone tomorrow morning (200mg 2x/day) so I have no words of wisdom, just following in your footsteps!

June 14, 2011: Drew's baby brother or sister waved hi to us with a BFP!
June 25, 2011: Natural miscarriage... Can we please catch a break here?
Nov. 2011: 100mg Clomid followed by 2mg Estrogen, Ovidrel trigger, and 200mg progesterone suppositories 2x/day 14 days. BFN.
Dec. 2011: 2nd medicated cycle. BFN.
Jan. 2012: Took a month off to breathe...
Feb. 2012: Same regimen of Clomid and other meds, add IUI. 2 eggs and 8.5 million swimmers. BFN.
March 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-11, follie scan CD 8 showed 6 follies likely to mature. Triggered, IUI on CD 14, 4 million swimmers. BFN.
April 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-10. Scan showed 2 mature follies, 2 almost certain to mature, and two not likely but possible. (All 6 evenly and perfectly spaced out between the left and the right.) Triggered, IUI CD 13 with 5 million swimmers. BFN.
May 2012: 75 IU Follistim starting CD 3. Waiting to O. Timed intercourse. Likely 5 follies to mature.

Are you still having your slight nausea? I am 10DPO today and still having mine. It’s ever so slight but there. I really think it’s the progesterone and was wondering if yours was getting better or about the same.

I also take mine at nite and don't have any problems with it. It's actually kinda nice because it makes me sleepy so it works as a GREAT sleep aid! LOL!

What is your dosage? I will take a look at mine tonight and tell you what mine is. I am thinking there are 200 mg or something? Maybe yours are only 100?

Yes mine are 200. I checked last night. Maybe becuase your past pregnancy history they have you on a higher does. I don't have any losses but they have me on it just in case. My LP is always 14 days too so I was surprised he even put me on it. Do you know what your LP is? Lp is the time from when you o till the time AF comes. That time frame needs to be a min 10 days to sustain a pregnancy.

My LP is usually 12 days. It was 10 for a couple cycles right after Drew was born, but I used B vitamins to kick it up to 12 and even off the vitamins it's been 12 ever since. I'm going to do some googling. My doc didn't say my progesterone was low, so I'm thinking I'm on it as a chance-booster, just-in-case, might-as-well, too. I DID have one early loss between 5-6 weeks, but no idea if it was progesterone related. The doc I went to didn't include prog in his labs

Well I bet cause of the loss you have suffered they just want to be safe. If you do get pregnant they don't want to take a chance that you can't sustain the pregnancy. Good Luck and I hope you don't have any more losses ever again.

I am taking crinone suppositories twice a day. And there is a lot of nausea.

Me-38 DH-38. TTC #1 since August 2009
2/2011 - IUI + Femara + HCG trigger and Progesterone injection BFN
3/2011 - IUI + Femara + HCG trigger and Progesterone injection
4/2011 - not doing IUI - DH out of town
5/2011 - IUI with Femara and HCG trigger. In hospital due to infection from IUI.
Took a break from all meds this summer.
9/2011: - Start with new RE - testing begins.
10/2011: - Hysteroscopy - determine tubes are blocked.
10/2011 : - Laparoscopy - clip blocked tubes, determine right ovary is adhered to pelvic wall, cut adhesions
11/24/2011: IVF cycle #1 begins. Start stims.
12/2/2011: End stims. HCG trigger.
12/4/2011: Egg Retrieval. 9 eggs, only 1 embryo.
12/7/2011: Transfer.
12/20/2011: IVF #1 failed.
1/16/2012: IVF #2 first scan
