I've been in the state of mind to just surrender to how hard this is. Awaiting AF's official arrival tomorrow I've just been glum and shuffling my feet as I try to force myself to make positive moves: bought Evening Primrose Oil capsules, call TCM center, (tomorrow) call for re-evaluation with new doctor. But then this morning I got a link to one of those "Ten Things..." lists from a magazine, and this was the last one:
10. Keep your eye on the prize and your hand on the plow. It’s easy to lose sight of what you want, especially if you haven’t gotten it. I know it’s less work to put the wish away, to pretend that the wish itself has disappeared. But it’s important to know what your prize is, because that is part of who you are. Whether it’s financial stability, two children, a collection of poetry, or a happy marriage, take Winston Churchill’s advice and never give in. Never give in. Never give in.
I know for the more experienced ladies here this is something that you already know. But I kind of needed to hear it today. Hopefully it will cheer someone else on who needs it too.
